French classes with a native and certified teacher

I am Nicole, an enthusiastic and experienced certified French (and Spanish) teacher, native of Paris and near native speaker of Spanish after living 7 years in Colombia. With 19 years of experience and a contagious passion for languages and cultures, I will help you gain confidence while improving your knowledge. Just bring your spark of enthusiasm to learn or rekindle a second language along with a commitment to make time for it and sprinkle some patience and together we will work towards proficiency and why not fluency! I teach remotely(exclusively) adults, kids 8 +, students and corporate at all levels of proficiency.(A0 up to C2) I will help you learn French or Spanish , so you can use it in real life situations for conversation, travel, career advancement, self-improvement, academic achievement (middle school, high school, AP French, AP Spanish, IB French and IB Spanish, college courses, and DELF prep) or corporate international business. My methodology is personalized to your level, your requirements, and your very own personality. This is how I have always managed to get excellent results with my students. Because the purpose of learning a language is to understand and be understood, I follow a communicative and context-based method that is lively, creative and memorable. In class, my students and I talk about our lives, create stories, role play and discuss current events and world matters through articles and videos in French. By acquiring language naturally in this way, students can better learn and retain grammatical structures and vocabulary. As a lifelong learner myself, I know that learning a new language can seem daunting and sometimes insurmontable. But with patience and individually tailored instruction, I have brought many students of all ages and levels to become fluent in a relaxed, engaging, yet well structured learning environment. I am providing the learning materials. Instead of textbooks, we will use a great variety of engaging resources to prompt you to speak, create our own dialogues and listen for comprehension. I plan your lessons based on your needs and around your existing (or non-existing) knowledge of French to take you to the next level. The courses you will attend are based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (A1 to C2) to provide a guideline for your learning and will revolve around four major axes: 1) reading 2) speaking 3) writing 4) listening. The homework I assign after each class will allow you to reflect and build upon what you have learned . All these resources and even more would be accessible in your own online personal space I mentioned earlier, where we can communicate until your next lesson if you need to. .
