Hey there! I’m John Priddy.
If you’re looking to grow as a drummer and musician, I’d love to help you on your journey!
First things first—I know that lessons are an investment, and I’m always open to working out something financially if needed. My rates are $60 for a one-hour lesson and $45 for a half-hour lesson.
Drumming—and music as a whole—is all about understanding the fundamentals. You have to learn the rules before you can break them. My teaching is deeply rooted in jazz, which I believe is one of the most freeing styles of music. Jazz blends almost every genre—Latin, Rock, Funk, Blues, and Folk—and we’ll dive into all of them in our lessons.
But more than just making you a great drummer, I want to help you become a great musician. My approach focuses on training not just your hands, but also your ears, mind, and musical instincts.

My 11-year-old wanted drum lessons and John was recommended to me by a mutual friend. I could not be happier with him. He is an excellent teacher and my daughter loves him. He keeps his lessons engaging and fun, and she is having such a good time learning with him. The lessons are affordable and he really cares about her progress.
