Introduction
Hello, my name is John Priddy!
For starters, I am always willing to work something out financially.
I charge $60 for one hour and $45 for half an hour.
The essence of music and improvised music begins with an understanding of the fundamentals. One must learn the rules before they can break them.
My teaching is rooted in the jazz art form, which I believe
to be the most freeing musical art form as it contains almost every musical genre within itself: Latin, Rock, Funk, Blues, and Folk. These are all Genres we will learn and go over.
My goal as a teacher is to make you a great drummer, yes, but equally as important, A GREAT MUSICIAN.
Over time, I will teach you to surpass your goals by
training your muscles, mind, and ears.

My 11-year-old wanted drum lessons and John was recommended to me by a mutual friend. I could not be happier with him. He is an excellent teacher and my daughter loves him. He keeps his lessons engaging and fun, and she is having such a good time learning with him. The lessons are affordable and he really cares about her progress.
