We worked primarily with Ted from Unicus during the design and construction of our deck remodel. Ted did a great job working with us to understand how we wanted to redesign our deck. After our initial consult, he created a 3D rendering of the design to ensure it was what we wanted. He took us through the permit process with the City of Urbandale and explained how the building code would affect the construction. Ted proactively reached out to schedule inspections with the city to reduce delays in the construction process. The construction team worked quickly and efficiently and we are extremely happy with the end result!

Colindres Construction did the work for us. It was the best experience I’ve had contracting work on my home. Excellent craftsmanship at a good price. The three man crew worked very long days and even offered to work weekends to keep the project on schedule. They worked on our deck, replacing all the exterior wood. It looks like new now! They also did some concrete work to fill a gap behind the deck the was causing a water problem in our basement, and repaired a wooden fence. Nelson was the crew chief. Super nice guy! He was very knowledgeable and gave us good suggestions on completing the project and made sure the final work was the way we wanted it. Highly recommended!

Hired the team to work on a few deck and porch projects before getting my house listed for sale. Great communication and fast response, they were able to accommodate my specific request and short deadline even between bad weathers. The team works very efficiently and they also work very hard. On top of that, the cost is very reasonable. I’m happy with the final result. The pictures of the house look great, photos attached in the review is a before and after comparison.
