- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After receiving a direct lead I will respond on Thumbtack then follow up with a text message or phone call. I would then answer any questions they have. I’d let them know my rates and about how many photos they will receive. If they decide to go with me I will ask for a deposit to book their session and we can move forward with selecting a location.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
As with any first-time parent you take tons of photos of your child to document each and every milestone. I did the same but I did it with a DSLR instead of a phone. As my girls grew, so did my passion for photography. By the time they had their driver’s licenses, I was free from having to drive them around so I turned my attention to landscape photography. To this day, I still shoot landscape and wildlife but I began to look for another challenge. And that’s when I turned my attention to portrait photography. Not only has it been fun and exciting but fulfilling as well knowing that I’m capturing special moments for the people I work with.
