FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am not cheap but I am affordable and fair. I offer discounts for referrals, and I have packages that reflect discounts. Prices depend on the services you want. Since I have to pay taxes and I constantly improve my photography knowledge by investing in workshops and continuing education along high quality equipment ( necessary tools of my trade) my pricing has to reflect the cost of doing business legally and being able to provide for my clients' needs. I think people think we just have a camera and that's it. There is a big difference in a pro photographer and someone who just has a cheap camera and pays no taxes.😊 Occasionally I will have to pay other people for use of locations and props (like when I hired a camel for use in a models’s photo shoot). A great perk I offer is a large client wardrobe you are welcome to use, at no cost to you. As of now it is for just women, I have a variety of sizes and styles including some plus sizes. Much of it is designer, lots of formal evening wear and trendy styles. Some clients schedule a fitting appointment beforehand or arrive a little early to their booking to go through the wardrobe. Some bring their own stuff. It’s totally up to you. I also have a makeup and hair stylist available down those needing this service. Depending on the package you order, sometimes it is included. Glamour sessions are highly encouraged to have a makeup artist. If you are good at makeup, and wish to do it yourself, that's great and I will send you tips. I have several packages, to fit your needs, including a la cart. Prints come with the corresponding social media image.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Usually, we discuss what kind of look you are going for, what you hope to use the pictures for (gift, prints, portfolio, wall decor etc). Many times we make an appointment (no charge) before the session and go through my client wardrobe I have, or discuss your own wardrobe for best choices, great pictures are not an accident. Sometimes we use your stuff, sometimes mine and sometimes a mix! Then we do makeup and hair if requested. Normally we have already decided if this is a location shoot (outside somewhere) or studio. I do a lot of location shooting using natural light, but sometimes weather or client's preference dictates indoor studio work! I give my all into every shoot. I want those pictures to be the best you have ever had! I want you amazed at how great you can look and to be excited to share them! I want you to feel confident with me.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My own background is fashion- having modeled for over a decade in Miami/Ft. Lauderdale, (print work and runway) and then owning my own agency. Now that experience is serving me well to help you find the most flattering pose for your body and/or for headshots- I take your images seriously -but we have fun with it! Also participating in workshops and further education in photography and editing -constantly.
