Phil is very experienced with plumbing repairs, needed to replace working parts (flush kit) in the water tank of the toilet. Also, the cost was very fair for labor and parts!

*** You must read this honest review*** This contractor started off ok with providing decent service; however, his work quickly became sub-standard, then he started being late and or no-shows, and finally he didn't finish the job we agreed on (in writing- see attached receipt). Instead, the contractor installed a wall light switch (in which I neither asked for nor authorized). Then he stated he doesn't want to replace $200+ dollars of wood and labor that he agreed to replacing and I paid for because he felt we are even for the light switch. Let's do some quick math ...$3 for the switch plus $52 in labor (advertised thumbtack hourly labor rate) = $55 versus $200+ parts and labor we agreed to. Let's apply a 5th grade level education, how is this even? In short, we will be going to magistrate court to fix his fraudelent error in judgement which is simply a result of me declining to give him other needed repair jobs. Lastly, I would NEVER recommend this guy to anyone due to his lack of honesty and poor quality of workmanship--- do yourself a favor and find someone else!!! Straight up clown!!!!!!

There payment system was very frustrating with having to pay a deposit (1/2 if labor cost) , then a balance (balance of labor + material cost) for each project. I had two projects so I had to make a total of four payments, with two separate payments on the same evening and a third on the next day. Very inconvenient. When I asked could I just pay the final project (deposit and material costs) in one final payment I was told no. The quality of the work was good and efficient. The worker was very thoughtful and took pride in his work, just the process was not as smooth and communicative as I would have liked.

PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS. THEY WILL SCAM YOU. I contacted this business to get a quote to fix the bathroom door, bathroom ceiling and install lintel beam on 11/18/2024. They charged me labor of $390 and ask to pay $190 security deposit through a DUBIOUS ZELLE NUMBER

Domi's demeanor remained consistent in job ability, timeliness and accurate quote. My need was minimal and more labor intense in that I was prepping an area with 22' ceiling height for painting and lighting/fan that needed cleaning. He had the tool assembly and worked within the time frame we discussed; both traits of professionalism and value he exceeded. I would hire Domi again!

Highly recommend! Very quick response, very fair price, very good work. He was clear in his communication and quoted me a price for materials and labor, and was on site within 48 hours. He took his time to explain what needed to be done and even fixed another issue I had on the spot. I think I found my new permanent handyman. I will definitely use again in the future.

Hired Cesar to install a tricky bath exhaust fan in an older house. I stressed there was no attic space, only ceiling and then roof. I provided pictures of the fan, the ceiling from inside the bathroom and the roof from outside. He quoted me $250 for installation plus the exhaust duct.
He cut a hole in the ceiling and told me he was unable to install the fan bc there was not enough space between the ceiling and roof… he said he thought the exposed beams were just decorative. (He was very courteous but a bit of a mansplainer.)
So I asked him if he could fix one broken tile since he was there- I had all the materials to do repair- he quoted me 1.5 hours of labor at $75/hr. I declined and ended up repairing the tile myself, later. (Pic of damaged tile) So Cesar patched the hole he made in my ceiling smooth; on a textured ceiling, and charged me $75.
It was disappointing because I felt I had already told him there wasn’t space but I guess he forgot…?
I might consider hiring him again but only for very straight forward projects.
I also ended up doing the fan myself by building a box around it and the duct to hide it, which was the best low-budget solution I could come up with to solve the issue.

Updated review: The bottom shelf collapsed and when I contacted the vendor to see if it could be fixed, I was told I’d need to pay for parts and labor. The owner insisted I purchased the screws used for the drywall, but I did not. His team purchased the screws from Lowe’s and I was charged for them without seeing a receipt and without receiving the left over screws. I will never want to work with a company without integrity again.
Initial review: When I made an initial inquiry, I was contacted over the phone and told the estimate would be $150. The day before the appointment, I was told the total would be $195 ($80 an hour for a two hour minimum and $35 for a travel fee). I wasn’t upset because I had this in writing and the first estimate was shared verbally. Nonetheless, the technicians arrived about 20 minutes early. They noticed that I was missing an item to lay the shelves on. I asked if they would be willing to purchase the small item from Lowe’s, which is less than a mile from my home. My intention was to reimburse them for the cost. Once they returned from Lowe’s, they put up the three shelves and also made sure the other shelf was properly secured. Upon completion, I was told the amount due was $230. I was not shown a copy of the receipt, and the work was completed within 2 hours even though the technicians went to Lowe’s. I’m not sure why I was charged $35 for the small item because it’s not that expensive at Lowe’s. Integrity is incredibly important to me. That is why I did not rate this five stars. I am grateful, nonetheless, that the shelving was put up properly and quickly.

I had a great experience with Ammar and Khalid. Received an immediate response and they started the project quickly. I had a one bedroom condo that needed repainted, a dishwasher and microwave install, closet rack replacement, drywall repairs, and several other handyman type items that I needed completed. They were able to do everything in 2 days and did a quality job. I’ve been in real estate for 20+ years and have worked with all types of contractors. These guys are not only very personable and know what they’re doing, but they are thinkers. Some of the work I needed done not only required labor expertise, but they had to think and figure out how to resolve several problems that didnt have a very obvious solution. For example, they did the dishwasher install but when I tried to use the dishwasher I kept getting error messages and it wouldnt cycle thru. Called them back to check the problem and they realized that the problem was actually with the garbage disposal install that wasnt completed properly. It was a 2 second fix, but it caused the dishwasher not to work properly. Needless to say, they took the time to troubleshoot, worked the problem and solved it although it had nothing to do with the install they did. Not only was it kind of them to do that, but also very smart. They are thinkers, problem solvers and excellent general contractors and handymen. They did an outstanding job and for those reasons I would not hesitate to use them again. If you need professional, reliable, creative, expert contractors to get the job done quickly and properly then call Ammar and Khalid. Nice guys who do excellent work. You’ll be happy you did.
