I typically try to avoid writing less than exceptional reviews, but this impacted a disabled elderly (veteran) couple. I volunteer with the VA to help veterans (mainly disabled seniors). I use Thumbtack because it is convenient, and it assists me with traveling to the various different areas of Georgia and Tennessee. I contacted this company to install a garbage disposal for an elderly couple. I have to take time out of my day to be at their homes for the install of projects, etc. First time, NO SHOW and no communication until I initiated it. Reason-their phone was messed up. Ok, I am willing to give second chances. I was very clear that my time was very limited due to my work schedule, so we rescheduled. Once again NO SHOW, and no communication until I initiated it. The two hour window had passed, then I received a message stating that they were 45 minutes out. I am understanding, and I will work with anyone but that was enough for me. Communication is extremely important. My experience obviously won’t match anyone else’s, but I will find someone else to install the disposal for the elderly couple. I and many other veterans drive 1.5 hours out of our way to help disabled veterans. I live in Eatonton, so it’s a bit of a drive to Milton, Roswell, Alpharetta, Johns Creek, etc. especially during rush hour. I feel bad for the couple because there is a horrible smell coming from their disposal. They are probably a decent company, but as I said I will find someone else. You judge for yourself.
