- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$2495 for up to 8 hours of coverage with 2 pro photographers; a 20-page album; a thumb drive of high-res images with print release, and travel. In Greater Atlanta: add an engagement session or rehearsal dinner. Elsewhere: add unlimited wedding-day coverage.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with an in-person meeting (or a phone call if we're long-distance) to discuss wedding day details and coverage preferences. We'll follow that with an electronic agreement and retainer invoice. When business is taken care of, we'll email you our Word-formatted wedding photography preferences worksheet that contains our notes from our initial discussion with you. You'll correct and embellish this document as needed, and you'll return it to us before your big day. We'll review it and might ask for another phone call or meeting to go over ideas for shots. When possible, we'll meet you at the venue for a walk-through. We'll also do our research if we aren't familiar with the venue you've chosen so that we're prepared when we arrive. A day or two beforehand, we'll touch base again to assure you we'll be there. We usually show up 30 minutes to an hour early, even when we know the venue, just to find you and see if there's anything you need before we get busy doing our thing :)
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
David is a Certified Professional Photographer candidate, having passed the written exam demonstrating knowledge about the technical aspects of photography. David and Jill are members of Wedding and Portrait Photographers International and Professional Photographers of America, two great professional organizations that promote learning and collaboration. They're also big fans of Creative Live, an online subscription service with tons of technique videos by high-profile pros who share their knowledge, and they study the work of other great photographers to inspire their creativity.
