- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
While we do have a $125.00 standard hourly rate, we also do understand that all jobs are not standard. Once we have all the relevant information for your move, we will then offer you an hourly rate. With regards to certain details or information about a move, we may offer the customer a flat-rate. A refundable deposit is required with each move to fully guarantee your desired move date and time on our schedule. Your deposit will be credited to the total amount of your move at the completion of your move. Your deposit will be 100% refunded if you notify us at least 48 hours prior to your move date to either cancel or postpone to a later date.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will start by asking the customer a series of questions to gather as much information as possible concerning their move. Afterwards, we will offer the customer either an hourly rate or flat fee to accept the job. Once the customer accepts our offer, we will ask for a deposit. Once we receive the deposit, we will place the customer onto our schedule and ask them for the physical addresses of all the locations included in their move. We will then contact our customer the day prior to their move to conduct a final, verbal confirmation regarding their move. After that, the next time our customer will hear from us will be morning or evening of their move. We will provide a final courtesy call to our customer when we are no more than 30 minutes away from their move location.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began moving professionally with one of the larger, professional moving companies in Atlanta. Although I started out and progressed quickly as a mover, I simultaneously earned the title of Director of Operations once introduced to the business side of professionally moving. Once the business grew extremely quickly, and with the blessing and help of the company owner, I decided to start up my own moving business.
