Darnell is such a brilliant designer with a versatile style. Working with Darnell was amazing! We connected through a small business accelerator program and from the jump he was genuine and honest about what he could and couldn’t do. The challenge I present him with was helping me design a podcast studio that was unisex and modular. The challenge, this particular room is on 168 sq feet and the goal was that each wall in the room should feel like a different back drop. I wanted my customers to come into the space and feel at home while creating and he did just that. When clients walk into the space their eyes light up and they can’t wait to come back. I look forward to working with him again soon!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge a flat service fee per room based on size. We also offer consultation which includes a mood board and price list with access to purchase all item on the mood board.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love to understand and learn my clients before prepping a design. The first step is an introduction to each other to better understand your style. Second step, consultation this included a mood board mock up of the room and cost of project. Third is install, the step we source items an design the room.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a third generation designer but I am the first in my family to build my calling into a business. I have a BBA in finance from University of Houston and a MBA from Texas Southern. I have my certification in Home staging and currently taking design classes to stay on top of my skills.
