FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am a fee only advisor meaning the client will be the only one paying me. That eliminates the conflicts of interest associated with "free advice" related to sales of commissioned products.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Let's start with a complimentary consultation. We'll spend about an hour together. At the close of the consultation I will be able to provide you with a proposal that includes guidance on the opportunities in your financial plan as well as a quote for my services. There is no fee for the initial consult.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over a decade of experience in helping families and business owners plan for their future. CFP(r) - Certified Financial Planners are widely regarded as the gold standard for helping individuals plan for their financial future. I earned my CFP in 2013 and have been providing comprehensive financial planning since then. CPA - I started my career in the tax department of a large regional CPA firm in Atlanta. I can go pretty deep on tax planning even though I don't prepare tax returns anymore. J.D. - I earned my law degree at Georgia State University. It has a great estate planning program. I focused my studies on corporate law, taxation and estate planning. I worked briefly in a boutique law firm focused on corporate law and estate planning issues.
