- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
1. Prepare a budget before hand so you can know that a professional is being reasonable! Use ChatGPT. Its free. Tell ChatGPT what you are designing, the location, square footage, new construction or renovation, the current business use of the space and the intended business use of the space, if you need interior design, as many more details as possible about the project, and your intended timeline. Ask ChatGPT what all professionals will most likely need to be involved and how much each of them will most likely charge for your project. Of course, all estimates will vary, but this will educate you on the design-build process. 2. That cheap floorplan that “your friend’s son” drew after he graduated from the technical college….the city turned it down, so you just want us to redraw it and place a stamp on it for a couple of dollars. ABSOLUTELY NOT! *TikTok voice* “Get somebody else to do it”.
