FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Each job priced upon scope and difficulty of work.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I initially discuss my credentials and relevant experience with the client. I then try to get a true vision of the clients design programatic needs and budget. I listen for both the articulated and unarticulated desires and needs of my clients to establish a program. Once the program has been agreed upon, I begin the design process.) My design approach is laptop interactive rather than reactive, meaning that we actually can design while sitting next to the client,if they so choose. I brought this interactive concept to Atlanta in the 1990's and became known locally as the " Affordable, Portable Architect". We conduct several interim reviews of the drawings with the client for compliance with the intent, work scope.and client budget for compliance. After the initial design phase is completed and accepted by the owner, we complete the final construction drawings for the proposed project capable of obtaining a building permit from the local jurisdiction. I try not to take myself to seriously....just my work.
