I am a local Wellington tennis coach with over 20 years of playing experience and over 3 years of teaching experience. I graduated from Baylor University (Division 1), where I played both #1 singles and doubles and the highest national collegiate ranking in singles was #6 and in doubles was #5. I have been on the tour for couple of years but stopped competing back in 2017 after reaching my highest ranking #140 in the world. Since then, I decided to pursue my teaching career and I am a well rounded coach with a lot of experience working with top pros, beginner children, juniors and adults. One of my main focuses is to have a disciplined and process-orineted enviroment while making it fun and exciting!
I am offering fun private tennis lessons, semi-private tennis lessons, group tennis lessons and hitting only sessions for all ages (kids, teens, adults, seniors) and for all skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). So whether you need to work on some specifics like your forehand, backhand, volley, serve, service return, overhead, drop shot, approach shot, footwork, singles strategy or doubles strategy-I would be more than happy to help you out with your tennis game!
I teach tennis lessons in the Wellington area but I am also willing to travel up to 10 miles to a court that is conveniently located near you.

My daughter started tennis lessons/coaching with Coach Ema 2.5 years ago, and we are still with her. Ema is a great coach and focuses on the techniques and provides continuous feedbacks on areas of improvements.

Ema is an amazing teacher. She is patient and systematic with her approach to teaching. As someone who was an athlete before she understands how to get the most of someone like me who is a perfectionist. She is always positive and helps you break down each stroke with simplicity that gives you confidence after only one lesson. She is passionate and caring about doing the best she can to help make the lessons valuable. I would recommend her to anyone from a beginner to someone who wants to take the next step in their game. She is worth it and then some!

Coach Ema has helped my 6year old son go from a little uncoordinated boy to rallying over the net within a short amount of time. She makes the lessons fun and productive and he’s always looking forward to his on court time with her. I highly recommend Ema for adults too as I’ve had some one-on-one time with her myself and I broke into sweat instantly with her tennis specific footwork drills.
