My scope of teaching experience covers 3 yr olds to retirees. I am known for my creative methodology which is the culmination of cross training in dynamic and diverse dance styles with world renowned instructors and dance companies. I have toured nationally as a professional dancer, competed in amateur through professional divisions and taught at Iconic landmark studios in Los Angeles and the surrounding area. I have been ranked in the top 10 at two international Latin Dance competitions, World Latin Dance Cup, and World Salsa Summit. I am a 63 year-old woman who has battled with a near lifelong case of Chorophobia - the fancy name for dancing phobia. I had been phobic about dancing for 47 years. Last year I finally reached the point where I was beyond fed up with it, and was ready to kick it and have some fun with the cool kids! I did an online search for a private dancing teacher and was lucky enough to connect with Jennifer Morano. They say when the student is ready the teacher appears, and that was 100% true for me with Jenny. I was so fearful, klutzy and locked up in my body, and Jenny was a Godsend for me. I was and still am open to seeing where my dancing journey leads me, but my immediate goal was modest. I simply wanted to break free of my phobia and have fun dancing to contemporary music. Jenny is a beautiful, professional dancer, and can teach students of all levels and abilities in just about any dance form, but in addition to that, she has a heart as big as all outdoors and the patience of a saint. She is rock solid reliable, and endlessly patient, kind, clear and encouraging. She never loses focus or faith in you no matter how slow your progress. I have been traveling a lot over the last year, but even with all my absences, I'm making progress and breaking free of my old bugaboo, and it's all thanks to Jenny. I recently discovered belly dancing through Jenny. She threw in a few moves for fun one day, and much to my surprise, I loved it! So, we're putting some time in on that now. It's so much fun and such a good workout. Jenny deserves a whole galaxy of stars, not just 5, but Thumbtack only allows for 5. All I can say is that I wholeheartedly recommend Jenny for students of all levels and abilities, and if you're a self conscious, locked up klutz like me, and want to break free, she will be a Godsend and a gem for you! I am enjoying unforeseen benefits from my lessons with Jenny in my daily life too. My balance and coordination are improving, I feel more confident and find myself moving with more grace and flow. Jenny and her fiancé were so much fun to work with at our outdoor barbeque party over the weekend. Our guests loved the line dancing instruction and music. Jenny was patient and had a great personality to work with our guests. For our next party, would like to bring them back for salsa/merengue dancing!
