I wanted no texture on the ceiling just a smooth finish. Although the ceiling were cement, Nestor was able to skim coat and sand the finish to perfection. It was a very messy task but the team made sure to cover and protect the walls and floors. The clean up process was impressive.
They kept the lines of communication open and informed me of their progress.
The results were amazing and I love the smooth ceilings. The rooms have a fresh clean look. If you are considering popcorn removal.....use these guys. You will not be disappointed with the workmanship.

Claudio's work has exceeded any expectations. The popcorn in my townhouse was painted on and it was very hard to remove. I believe that the work was more labor intensive and would take longer than he initially quoted. But Claudio and his crew got it done in the qu kooted time and left it as clean as one can hope with these messy jobs.
I am very impressed with the quality of all the work performed and would use him again for any drywall and texturing needs. Thank you.

Carlos was great to work with and he came through when another contractor was not able to perform. He gave a fair quote, communicated daily, and the work was excellent. This job was a larger project, removing popcorn ceiling from our entire house. Part way through we decided just to re-drywall the ceiling, he was able to do this no problem. He then sanded the entire ceiling down so we could have a smooth paint finish. I highly recommend Carlos and I am sure we will be working with him again in the future.

Ricardo and his team were amazing. We had a contractor cancel for the work we needed completed. I used Thumbtack and reached out to Ricardo. His team was incredibly professional and worked so hard the entire time they were at my home. They had a fantastic attention to detail and were very kind and cleaned the area when they were finished. At the time of starting my job, Carlos presented himself as Madrid Painting. He now uses the business name Zumo Painting.
I initially thought that Carlos and team did a great job removing the popcorn ceiling, retaping, and applying new texture in our St Pete house. Initially it looked good. But less than a week after, a bunch of yellow stains started showing through in numerous places including the living room, kitchen, office, dining room, 2nd bedroom…literally the entire house.
They said that the tape kept coming off the walls so there's texture all over every wall in each room of the house...that I'm left with having to sand and clean. They didn't remove a single light fixture, smoke detector, fan, or anything off the ceiling so now when I go to replace these old fixtures (we just bought this house and plan on doing additional upgrades)...there is popcorn texture showing in all of those places.
Not to mention, the texture itself. I've seen homes with knock-down texture. What we got...is a poor quality job. So many areas on the ceiling missing texture all together. They were supposed to refinish the ceiling...instead it's looks like complete crap.
And worse of all...I can not get him to commit to coming back out and finishing the half-a$$ job they did.
My kitchen looks like complete trash. I can provide photos of the crappy job they did.
When Carlos was here doing the work, he kept leaving to go work on another job. Saying he tried to fit this job in between his other jobs before the end of the year (this as Dec 2022). I think it shows in the lack of quality and attention to detail.
His prices were the cheapest, but for this...I would've paid more to have a job well done. Now I'm having to reach out to another company to come finish the job the right way.
i initially thought the pro and his team did a great job. Not even a week later, ceiling started to chip, water stains came right back showing through what was supposed to be a newly primed and painted ceiling, and it nearly looks just as bad as before they started the work. The pro demanded payment via Venmo. I paid $3250 for this ridiculously poor quality of work. And the job is left incomplete.
I paid a deposit on 12/19/22. They started the job on 12/21/22. It was supposed to be a 3 day, maybe 4 days max job. On 1/22/23 I had to call Carlos, begging them to come finish the job. They’ve told me numerous times they would come. They keep pushing that date back. They finally told me they would be here on Friday 1/20/23…and he no-show, no-called. Since then, it take days for him to respond. Finally on 1/30 they finished the job. And the quality of work…not worth 1/2 of what I paid. Just an awful experience all around. Oh and I had to replace the smoke the detector, and 2 fans that were basically ruined. It took days for us to scrub and sand the walls that were covered with the texture. Look elsewhere.
