The repair was expensive; I wasn't told I would be charged for gas and emergency response, which was not an emergency call. When I spoke to the Owner about the charge, he was persistent that what his guy charged was the cost. Will not use them again. Utilizing these handyman service is to be cost-effective. Their prices are the same if not higher than hiring a company. The purpose of Thumbtack is to find reasonable cost for those who cannot afford to hire a company. It would be beneficial for us homeowners to hire students from Tech Schools rather than using this service.
