I don't like to give a poor review. I don't understand why one would bid on a project when one is not set up or capable of doing the project. I drove 30 minutes out to meet Jim only to learn from him ... That he was highly frustrated, complained he was never going to move another hot tub again complained that his guys didn't know what they were doing. Jim abandoned the job which was just prior to a closing on the property which required the hot tub to be removed. Please don't bid on things if you are not sure you can do the job. Additionally I stressed that he should follow the directions I gave him and not to GPS the address. I gave very clear concise directions that have worked for over 15 years but he chose to ignore that direction as well. My advice would be to ask him if he has the proper movers before you plan on meeting with him. Perhaps he will do a good job moving other things but I would clarify if he has the proper people before wasting your time. Normally the inconvenience would not be so critical but the removal of the hot tub must be off the property prior to a real estate closing.
I think he had a bad day looks like he had other good reviews I would give them another chance.
My reply to you. I'm being gracious given your sad disposition. The dirt roads have county placed street signs well marked. Had you followed instructions you would have arrived as all others have. The hot tub was as I described. It was a 4 person as I described. The sides were not rotten. After you abandoned the job I arranged 3 friends to do the move and placed hot tub on flat trailer with no problem. We simply lifted one edge with hand dolly, utilized pvc roller and pushed it right on! Too bad you didn't stick it out.
