I initially was NOT going to leave a review and told them as such. I tried to offer an off the record review to let them know of what and why I was not entirely pleased. And then I became curious to see if other customers experienced what I did. My findings were correct on the low scoring reviews. I too experienced this company being very late after missing our inroad appointment last weekend. I understand that emergencies happen and somethings are out of our control however, I should not have to initiate contact for clarity.
After waiting 40 min past the appointment time scheduled today, I had to text to advise I was going with someone else but they apologized and arrived 16 min after I made contact with them.
At my initial consultation, I was quoted one price for a much bigger and more complex project. Today when they showed up, the project condensed by more than half because I decided to do something different in the other areas I wanted them to initially wallpaper. The price today was only $150 less than what I was initially quoted. Because I had seen the beautiful pictures of their previous work, I decided to move forward anyway. By the end of the project, they could not complete one wall included in the quote today because there was not enough wallpaper. I was ok with it but they still wanted me to pay the SAME amount. After I paid and they left, I sent a message to give them as constructive criticism. My intentions were to enlighten them with their business acumen. Instead of an apology or some kind of small price adjustment, I was told that it wasn’t their fault I ran out of paper.
The purpose of a consultation is to expect the professional that you hire to inform you of all materials needed to complete the job. I was never informed of how much wallpaper I needed. To add insult to injury, I am now having to pay more money to FIX my towel holder that was in proper functioning capacity before they arrived. I was told that it was already broken. IT WAS NOT. I hope that this company will take the time to reflect on being better at honesty and providing a more thorough consultation and improve on their follow through.
Overall, the wallpaper installation looks good.
Unfortunately, I will not refer them to anyone or use them again. Instead of apologizing or provided a small refund, I told by the company that it matters that they did a good job. In my opinion, integrity is just as important as the job itself.
