FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I usually prefer to go to the job site and do a free on site quote because it gives me a better understanding of what work needs to be completed. If I write you an estimate most of the time it’s an average of what I will charge for the job. So the price will be somewhere in that range if the job is exactly what we discussed about. Sometimes jobs get more complicated and prices will change but I am always more than happy to negotiate with my customers and see if we can get to a spot where we both feel like it’s fair.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically when working with a new customer I like to start by just trying to get their story about what happened or what they think the problem is. I then like to find out how long has this problem been happening and if there is any other problems that they have had before containing to the problem that we are discussing. I then do an on site visit if the tenants allow me and I proceed to do my investigation and when I come up with a conclusion I write up my quote and present it to the customer.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went to school for my plumbing license and I was an apprentice for a plumber for a few years. I then moved to a contracting company where I learned a lot of different skills from other trades. Such as drywall work, painting, mold restoration, flooring, roofing and much more!
