Introduction
HI! My name is April and I was raised on a farm where I loved learning all of the personalities of the animals. I recognize that your pets are your “babies” and to me they are my #1 priority. I’m retired, full of energy, and sharing my love with dogs. Grandmothers go above and beyond with grandchildren, similar to what I can do for your pets. I specialize in delivering the utmost standard of care to all of my clients and their fur babies. I have a wide range of experience, including with celebrity and professional athlete clients. Attention to every detail is why most of my clients have been coming to me for years. Every detail is taken care of to give you peace of mind while you’re away. Please note: I only care for small/medium dogs. I do not pet sit in your home. Boarding is $60 per day Training With boarding $100.00 per day Via phone $50.00 per session Your location $150 per session Reviews, please take the time to read for I appreciate the time given by parents. I provide undivided attention in my home. I pick up and deliver. Pets will have free range in my home; I am a companion and trainer not a kennel. I am not a believer of placing in a room alone, they are always with me while away from you. With parent's permission, I will give rides to Lowe’s, Play Dates, and even a visit to you when possible! The gratitude I receive from taking care of someone’s dog is knowing that they’re not alone in a kennel with sad eyes. One on one time is very important to me, and provides great joy knowing that your pet is getting quality care, love, and enjoying their vacation time away from their parents while in my care.

April was so wonderful to not only us but to our dog. She responded immediately and was able to help us out on very short notice. You can clearly tell she loves animals and does everything she can to make your pet as happy and comfortable as possible while you are away. I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs a pet sitter!

We didn’t know what we were going to do we were leaving for 5 days and we needed to find a dog sitter or do boarding. Our 1 year old Schnoodle goes to doggie day care as couple days a week to run off some of her energy but we didn’t like their boarding policy. Our dog doesn’t get crated andsleeps in bed with us and yes she is spoiled. We found April online and she sounded perfect for what we were looking for. We arranged a meeting and April came to our house to meet Harley. Well April sat on our floor and petted and held her and my anxiety was slowly disappearing. We discussed everything. We knew what we needed to do for Harleys vacation at Aprils and when she left, my husband and I looked at each other and said Oh I think we found the perfect answer. We got Harley ready and April picked her up and Harley was excited. Off they went, we left and April took a photo of Harley sleeping on the way to Aprils. I am a lot over the top, and called and texted and I actually had a good time while we were gone. I especially appreciated the photos. We arrived home and April and Harley came home and as April says Harley was on vacation and doesn’t need to know we were gone. She just thinks she was on her own vacation. April did work on some things with Harley such as sitting while e put her leash on and now it’s just routine. We are so thankful we found April and have already scheduled another trip for our grand daughters 1st birthday. April is amazing!!

I had a meet and greet with April and my dog Coco prior to his sleep over at April's. At the initial meeting, April asked about every detail concerning my dog’s schedule and his habits. She went over his behavior pattern, sleep pattern and his daily routine. April was very thorough; moreover, she left a toy with her scent on it, for Coco, which would prove to be a reminder of whom she was on the date of pick up. April picks up and delivers the dogs in her care based on your schedule. This is a major convenience. On the date of pick up, Coco ran to the door with the toy April had left him. This was an unsolicited act, and Coco has many toys he plays with. He obviously remembered April’s scent because he brought her the toy and dropped it at her feet before he jumped up in a greeting. Coco was comfortable getting in Aprils car-he was secured in a carseat for safety. There was an obvious moment of anxiety when Coco and I separated; 4 minutes later April sent a picture of Coco sound asleep in his car bed/seat. Aside from dealing with Coco, April had to deal with my separation anxiety. I was over the top and texted a number of times. The response was almost instantaneous with a reply, a description of an activity, or a picture. I have had Coco since October; he is about 2.5 years and came from a shelter with major anxiety in general and separation anxiety when left by either me or my husband and especially if we both left. Coco wanted the three of us together always. He would bark excessively if one of us were to leave. I just now witnessed his calmness when he thought one of us were leaving without him. I was told by a trainer I spoke with prior to April, that Coco was too old to be socialized; I was told that socialization takes place by 17 weeks and Coco has already decided he doesn’t want to trust male dogs and some female dogs. It was too late for Coco; that train ahd passed. He barked at many dogs prior ro his stay with April. I uploaded a picture below of Coco playing with one of the many dogs he played with this weekend, an activity I thought could never happen. The other 2 pictures are his after the week-end pictures coming home happy and content but tired. April is like a dog whisperer. Coco actually went outside looking for April’s car after she left. It was as if he wanted to go back on a vacation. Furthermore, Coco rarely allowed me to pick him up, unless he needed help into a car or was afraid of another dog which as often. He allowed me the privilege of just holding him until today with his arrival home, and after saying the magic word “UP”, a word April taught him and also me. It seems that Coco was having so much fun playing with other dogs he forgot to eat this morning. I would highly recommend April as a sitter and as a trainer. Coco seems more adjusted and much happier after only a couple of days away. April doesn’t believe in crates; never leaves your dog alone; and never puts him alone in a yard where he could dig his way out and become a flight risk and casualty. She pays attention to every detail and analyzes the situation and behavior of both owner and dog. You couldn’t ask for anyone more responsible individual caring for your beloved fur babies. April obviously loves what she is doing and loves animals. I would have given April more than 5 stars if that was an option. Thank you April for your calming effect on Coco. Finally, I was over the top protecting Coco from everything because of his rough start his first 2.5 years in life. April had to deal with me as well as Coco. She would text me back immediately with a response to a question, a description of an activity or with a picture. April explained that Coco’s rough start is no behind him. A happy ending to what had been a sad story.
