I am Lori Hill, the owner of Pawsitive Dog Training (PDT). After a very successful but unfulfilling career as an accountant, I began looking for ways to focus my energies in a more gratifying way. After spending some time volunteering with animal shelters and dog rescues, I adopted my two spinal-injury miniature dachshunds in 2006 and began training them immediately. They excelled and became certified therapy dogs in 2008 and 2009. They inspire me everyday to be my best. PDT wholeheartedly supports adoption and a portion of the proceeds go to a local rescue group Get A Life Pet Rescue.
I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) and an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator. I am also a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers and Therapy Dogs International. I have experience with stubborn breeds and will work with you to reach your training goals. I am experienced with and am comfortable treating a myriad of behavioral issues such as separation anxiety, marking, nuisance barking and chewing/mouthing.
My mission and goal will always be the same: take care of my clients pets like theyre my own. Im pawsitive that I can help you!!
I find it incredibly rewarding to work with families and see their lives become better, easier and happier because their dog listens so reliably. I am passionate about the human-animal bond and will go above and beyond to help restore calm and order to your home and help you achieve a happy healthy relationship with your best friend. I truly believe our pets are our family members and should be treated with respect and compassion.
