FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our prices for General Pest Control (regular treatment against ants, roaches, spiders, etc.) are consistent from home to home. The only treatments that cannot be quoted without first seeing the property and taking measurements are Termite treatments. The reason for this is that prices for these treatments are based on the amount of chemical or active ingredient required. Subterranean termite treatments utilizing Termidor-brand termiticide are based on the total linear feet of the perimeter of your home, as well as other factors, such as how much of the home's perimeter is covered with concrete or pavers. Subterranean termite treatments are performed by applying the appropriate (per the label's instructions) amount of liquid termiticide to the soil in contact with your home. A small amount of the soil adjacent to your home's perimeter is pulled back in order to create a narrow trench, into which the termiticide is applied. The soil is then replaced. In the event that a portion of your home's perimeter abuts concrete or pavers (such as in the case of a lanai or entryway, the termiticide will have to be injected below this layer in order to adequately treat the soil underneath. As this requires more time and equipment, it does affect the cost of treatment by a small amount. Typically, though, treatments for an average sized Cape Coral-style home come to between $600 & $1,000. For mobile homes, the price is often even lower. When dealing with Drywood Termite Protection, there are even more variable. For tent fumigation, the price is based on the total Cubic Feet measurement of your home. This is because a gas ("Vikane") is released underneath the tent during a fumigation, and the only way to accurately determine how much Vikane gas is needed to completely rid your home of termites is to know the cubic footage of the home. Occasionally, a fumigation is not required, and state-of-the-art treatments using "Termidor Dry" can be utilized. Because this treatment does not utilize a fumigant, it is significantly less expensive.
