I am a retired university professor; I have a Ph.D. in measurement and evaluation (the degree for those who make the SAT/ACT/ASVAB etc.) and a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology (so I also help students with memory tricks, time management, and to overcome test anxiety). I make learning fun. I have a number of tricks and tips that help students learn faster while at the same time making them smile. I think of ways that the student will eventually use the information in real life too. This way, their brain will retain what they learn. I love seeing the light bulb go on over someone's head. They have just had an "ah-hah" moment and that gives me a charge.

I had a few math tutors, but this company is fantastic. Kevin is very knowledgeable, and he works with my son's schedule. My son is taking AP Calculus, and Kevin helps him once or twice a month. Mr. Lunsford is extremely responsive to your needs, and he helped my son with his SAT prep in just two sessions, resulting in a 100-point score increase. You will not be disappointed if you hire this company. I will use them for my son through college.

Kevin Kreighbaum has been a blessing and a math grade savior! I cannot say enough good things about our experience with him and Tutor With the Best! Although the tutoring is virtual Kevin has it nailed down the process so that it is incredibly effective. Kevin has an easygoing style that puts my son at ease. My son’s confidence and understanding has improved exponentially. The math tutoring quality was the priority but Kevin has also been flexible and accommodating when I incorrectly scheduled sessions. My only wish is that we had found Tutor With the Best sooner!

Tutor with the best by far exceeded my expectations for an SAT Tutor! My son took his SATs in May of 2022. He is a smart kid, but didn’t do well and usually doesn’t score well on standardized tests. I wasn’t sure what to expect but we had reached out because my son needed to retest in August as he was going into his senior year. My son worked with them 2 days a week during July and half of August (since he was retaking it the end of August). They taught him tricks on how to rule out the wrong answer and how to focus on the question itself - not get tripped up on what you think the obvious answer should be - which is key. I’m not sure what magic happened, but my son left the test feeling good but we never imagined he could go from a 910 to a 1300! Thank you Tutor with the best! You truly are the best! 🙌🏻

I sent out a message looking for a tutor to help my daughter with Geometry. We were needing something same day. Dr. Lunsford replied very quickly to my post. Within a few hours, Dr. Lunsford was in a lesson with my daughter. My daughter said Dr. Lunsford is very engaging, easy to work with, and thorough, which she enjoyed very much. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$60 an hour. There is no need to book more than one session at a time. No commitments are needed concerning time frame - I am flexible to work within the timeframe of the client.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
You are welcome to book a time with me to have a consultation or go straight to the calendar to either book a time to come to me or to a mutually convenient place and I also have a wonderful program which will enable me to work with you online. It enables me to see you, you to see me, and for me to write on my screen and you see the answers appear on your screen. I can also see the things that appear on your screen when you want me to see it. I can record the entire session so that you can go back and watch it again for the things that you missed first time.
