Marylyn was a huge contributor to the success of our wedding. She helped us plan every single detail from the second we met! Her team delivered an amazing cocktail hour, family style dinner, dessert and wedding cake! We highly suggest Marylyn to caterer any event , she has the skills and knowledge to make your event memorable. We are still getting compliments a month later on all of the food and service provided by Marylyn’s team!

How can I write a review that truly encompasses how absolutely amazing my wedding reception was!? Juste Hors D'Oeuvres and Much More recently catered my outdoor “garden-style” wedding of 80 guests, and I couldn’t dream of a more amazing experience working with Marylyn and her staff. Marylyn was more like a full-service event planner, as she took the time to get to know both my husband and I, as well as our full plan for our wedding day. She invited us into her home for a tasting, where she also took the time to get to know us, how we met, our families, and how we envisioned our wedding day to play out. Throughout the planning process, she worked with the company we planned rentals from, including the tents, tables, chairs, linens, appliances, etc., and she triple-checked all items to ensure every detail matched our vision for our wedding. She asked just about every question imaginable, and helped make sure we weren’t missing any important area/item. Her incredible organization, communication, responsiveness, and attention to detail aside (!!!), the food that was served on our wedding day was the true stand-out. Just wow! We chose five passed appetizers; roasted chicken and eggplant parmesan for the two mains; as well as a host of side dishes; and everything was absolutely delicious. My guests are still raving about how amazing everything tasted! By working with Marylyn, I felt such a calm in my heart, knowing that she would take care of everything and ensure our wedding reception was flawless. My husband and I were able to relax and really enjoy our special day. From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank Marylyn and her entire staff for their kindness, organization, attention to detail and their passion.

It is always a pleasure to engage Juste Hors D’Oeuvres and More, LLC for an event where the participants will appreciate the care with which the food is prepared and the wonderful taste of each different morsel. We recently had a holiday party at Palmer Hill, and Juste Hors D’oeuvres was hired to prepare the food for more than 100 residents. Every hors d’oeuvre was more delicious than the next. It made the celebration that much more special. Thank you, Marylyn and staff for all you do and never disappointing. We will have you back soon again. The Greenwich Choral Society had a special celebration event for over 200 guests and hired Juste Hors D’Oeuvres and Much More Catering to handle the event. They provided hot and cold hand passed hors d’oeuvres and desserts over several hours. They also set up in a high school kitchen for their hours of local preparation work and took care of all post event cleanup associated with their service. We couldn’t have been more pleased! Not only was the food delicious, but the catering staff was exemplary. They had a difficult task because the kitchen was far away from the participants, but the grace with which they managed this challenge is commendable. And I can’t say enough good things about the food. Each dish was special, fresh and beautiful. We received many wonderful complements from our special guests on how much they enjoyed the food, and how friendly and professional the service staff were. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing should be customized to the clients' budget parameters. We are not an "off-the-shelf" catering company with prices for set packages. We feel that there are too many hidden costs in packages. Every proposal we make is broken down into the main components. This gives clients the ability to make financial decisions from a place of knowledge. Menus are developed in consultation with our clients. When we understand their wants and needs, we are empowered to work diligently to create a perfect and affordable event!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Personalized consultation is the key to a perfect event. By chatting with my prospects and asking some key questions, together we are able to hone in on the perfect mix of wants and needs and develop the right budget parameters. As catering pros, there are times we suggest options to our clients that they would not have thought of themselves often resulting in the saving of time and money! While we all love social media and e-mail, neither are the right way to plan a perfect event!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our Chefs, Bartenders and other Staff are highly experienced. I spent many years as a teacher then a VP in a Fortune 500 company. It is the combination of exemplary cooking and planning coupled with savvy business prowess that built this business into a thriving success. We are the pros ready to assist you at every turn!!!
