I was hooked up with Groundworks through Thumbtack which, as it turned out, was not a good match based on my project description. The estimator, Mark Odell, was a good communicator and very pleasant to deal with in coordinating the estimate, but upon arrival he saw that the driveway crack repair and resurfacing that I needed to have done was not something they specialized in. Rather than waste both of our times, he immediately referred me to a smaller company where he had known the owner for years, and assured me they could do the job and for a reasonable price. I contacted the owner, was favorably impressed, and have arranged for an estimate. I really appreciated Groundwork's honesty regarding this and not taking on a job not in their wheelhouse just to make some money.

Pricey, but so is anyone who’s going to do your crawl space I suppose. We did the bare minimum we could for encapsulating our space, and are very happy. Even though the sales pitch is fairly typical, it wasn’t overly pushy, just long, but Kyle was able to answer all our questions for us. They did a great job with the install, site was clean and the guys were friendly. Payment options were easy. Deducting a star (wish I could do a half 🤷🏼‍♀️) because they did take a board out that looked to hold up our washer, dryer, water heater, and boiler, and didn’t tell us. While they did say that board was doing nothing, just wish we would have known. Replacing that board with supports is almost 10k. And look, I know that board isn’t is strong or functional as the supports, but I wanted to take the bandaid off when we were ready. I’m sure we’ll get over it in another week 🤣 Also a little bummed they don’t do exterior vent covers, but we can do that ourselves. I know the system they installed covers the air and water issue with the vents and “seals” them, but I don’t want the bunnies and squirrels trying to eat their way in.

Mike and Josh showed up & did a very thorough inspection. They seemed to have high tech gear & provided a thorough report. They offered a discount if you book right away & also due to being a smaller job they could have done it quickly. Unfortunately it wasn’t the right time for me.
