FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The more hours of work to be completed on your project the more reasonable my fees/discounts would be. For many projects, I would bid by the job rather than per hour which would be cheaper in many cases. Also, the closer your job location to my location would be important considering drive time to location, fuel costs, Thumb*tack lead costs, etc.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always recommend discussing the project with new customers to find out exactly what they want. This helps both of use streamline processes saving you money. I feel communication is the most important consideration when determining the project specifications. There are so many subtle nuances when considering the entire project which are not conveyed via the initial contact. Also, pictures are worth a thousand words! The more information you can offer about the project the better I can provide the best quote for you.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been involved in Fix n Flips for over 15 years. I manage my own rental properties and those of others. Back before color television and when rainbows were only black and white, I worked for a property management company doing all sorts of activities such as landscaping, painting, remodeling, etc.
