Introduction

Photography to me is an avenue to capture a moment. Be it to celebrate your engagement or wedding, your senior year or because it is snowing and you just want to play in it! People ask me what kind of photography I do, and the easiest way to put it is I am a people photographer. The way someone smiles, laughs, or dances is an art of its own and I love being able to capture that and share it with them. My goal in every session is to find the true person that is in front of my lens and reflect it back to them so they can enjoy that moment and who they are for the rest of their life.

Cassandra was marvelous to work with! I wanted some graduation photos (as I was finally earning my Master's degree) but was not entirely sure what I wanted besides a smiling cap and gown photo by the theatre building. She came prepared with some more traditional options, and also pointed out little locations in the moment we could use to create variety. One thing I asked for specifically was I wanted to get one unusual/creative photo on a theatrical stage, and Cassandra ran with it and gave me some really beautiful flash photos. My family loves the traditional smiling photos, and my friends adore the flash-stage photos! On a different note, I'm a bit of an awkward person and struggle with social cues, but Cassandra was delightful and kept up dialogue and communication throughout. It always felt like she was focused on getting beautiful photos for me AND making sure I was comfortable in the moment.

I have watched Cassie work as a photographer many times so asking her to photograph the most important day of my life was not something I worried or stressed about. I was very confident in her ability to capture our day by "Simply" being "Cassandra". What I did not expect was for her to take on every crazy obstacle thrown her way and still come out guns blazing with the most perfect memories of our very special day. She took on everything, from a beyond normal size wedding party (28 of us total) all getting ready in the same house (guys downstairs and girls upstairs) and running up and down to make sure to capture every short moment we had to get ready. She road back and forth on the party bus to make sure she could capture the guys having their wild moments and the girls having their calm moments. She took on the challenge of an abnormal ceremony venue where guys and girls walked on separate sides and did not miss any of them walking down. She was their for every special moment (there were many) and her ability to see through the lens and produce the photos that she did were "SIMPLY AMAZING". I highly recommend you hire Simply Cassandra for any special moment you want to reminisce on for the rest of your life; you will not be disappointed!

FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
At this stage I am flexible on some of my pricing. The travel fees are to cover gas/flight and for overnight expenses. If you are looking for a specific price please let me know upfront. I do offer discounts and special pricing through my Facebook page and Instagram account.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
This depends on what the shoot is regarding. For senior portraits, professional portraits and events - I to talk with you for the first couple minutes about what you are looking for, take our first awkward photos while you get comfortable in front of the camera, then we take off from there! Something intimate like a wedding I like to meet with the couple and get to know them before hand so I can truly capture what they are looking for.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
7 years of experience. I did take a class in high school and college, which taught me how to use a camera and compose an image. The rest has been learned through experience and working/watching other photographers.
