This was a request for a remodel of my elderly parent’s bathrooms in Brighton which was built in 1959. A Request for Bid document was sent ahead of time which detailed everything that needed to be done which they never read. They were to contact my Dad ahead of arrival so he could get his dog outside which they never did. My Dad said they acting like it was a chore and a nuisance to be at their home and were there less than 10 minutes. Never actually went into the bathrooms and took some pictures from the hallway of which I’d already provided pictures ahead of time to them. These are both very small bathrooms. No walls were to be removed or electrical, and both toilets needed to be moved 3” to meet code. Never went into the basement to check plumbing pipes. Called my husband and quoted $34,000 which is ridiculous. Works out to approximately $500 sq. ft. For two bathrooms that are the size of matchboxes. This is a simple tear out and install of which we’d already picked all the fixtures and tile out with pricing disclosed in the Request for Bid they never read. Informed my husband they have their own fixtures they use. If we’d known this, we’d never of asked them to come do a walk through in the first place. I’d never recommend them to anyone based on this experience.
