Hi there, I'm a commercial portrait photographer who works out of my full-service studio in Walnut Creek. My business takes me all over the country delivering executive headshots and commercial photography for some of the biggest brands in the world; however, I also offer headshots & portraits in my Walnut Creek studio or on location. I had my pictures taken for my acting headshots and it was such a great experience and really fun. The service was great and I really appreciate that I was guided through all details before my photos were taken. Of all the photographers I contacted, Mason responded the quickest to both my initial inquiry and follow-up emails. And unlike so many other folks I messaged, I never got the sense that he was nickel-and-diming for extras (for example: charging for access to photos beyond what is included in a "package"). I came to his very impressive photo studio in the East Bay and he spent about 25 minutes taking photos of me in a couple of outfits with different lights and backdrops! I loved that I could see the photos as he was taking them (he put them on a big screen for me) and that he seems to go the extra mile by creating different 'looks' with the lighting. In the end, he sent me a gallery of 49 photos not even two days later (initially he said 4-5 days). There are so many good ones, my wife and I can't narrow them down for my website and social media profiles. Thanks again, Mason! --Daniel

Mason is an exceptionally talented photographer and an even better person. He has high integrity, makes people feel comfortable and it shows in the result. We loved the photos that he took of our family during our porch photo shoot and the individual headshots as well. The headshots were high quality and the perfect balance between natural and professional without looking cheesy or overdone. Would not hesitate to work with Mason again!

FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Most photographers only offer a select number of images from the shoot, and then charge more to include additional images. I don't believe in keeping your images from you, and my sessions always includes ALL digital images from the shoot. These images will be edited and color corrected, and all of the samples I've shared on my portfolio represent the quality you can expect to receive. I can accommodate most additional editing requests for no additional fee; and for cases where detailed skin/clothing retouching is desired, I charge $25/image. Please note that none of my sample images have been retouched!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For most sessions, we'll discuss the desired portrait style in advance so I can prepare my equipment. Clients can see all of the images as they're taken, so it's also easy to make adjustments as we go!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been shooting professionally for 15 years and have produced work around the world for companies like Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Twitter, and ebay.
