I had a soft heart when first meeting George Jr. and his dad because the son told me he was trying to learn the business from his dad. I initially hired him to cut down 3 small palms from the driveway that same day and they did a great job as it was a very simple job. However I then hired them to install brand new sod and fix my sprinklers. That was a completely different story. First, they tried to get out of coming the day we agreed to as my sod was being delivered that day. After pushing them they did. Next, they didn't really show up on time (twice) and communication was extremely poor given only George Jr. could speak english but had trouble explaining things because he also didn't understand his dad. This was a tougher job too given it also required sprinklers to be fixed as well as re-routed. They didn't really do things the right way so had to have them come back out again (and plus because I held off on paying them until they came back out). However, now less than a week after, part of my grass is dead because they failed to make sure my sprinklers were working properly to water all portions of my lawn. I reached out to them but no response, now that they got paid. Might have to test out how Thumbtack's protection policy works.

We did our work, you just want extra free work we never agreed on that side because the sprinklers were working maybe you damaged them yourself and tried to blame us. All we fixed on the sprinklers was the big area inside your property and the long sidewalk. You were also not paying us because of a mistake we didn't do and then you wanted work for cheap, really 250 to re run new lines we did it because we wanted to be on good terms with you but now you're blaming us on something we didn't do. if the sprinklers we fixed weren't working then that would be my responsibility to fix which we did and the problem was that they were reaching the walls. I will post what the previous person did and what we had to fix or else we wouldn't get paid.
