FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My quoted price for events includes: - procuring ingredients - cooking the food - setup and cleanup (if relevant) My rate for private cooking lessons includes: - planning the recipes we'll use during class (with your collaboration, if desired) - 2 hours of instruction - providing a written recipe for your future use (printed and digital) (Note: the rate does not cover food costs or transportation time.)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. Get to know each other. I like to get to know about your needs and desires before we work together for the first time. For simpler projects, we can communicate through the messages here on Thumbtack. For projects with more details, I like to get on a phone or video call. It helps us get to know each other quickly, and I can learn about what you're looking for. 2. Finalize details. Once we agree that it's a good fit to work together, I will move the status of the job from "pending" to "confirmed." You will pay a 20% deposit to hold the date (remainder to be paid upon completion of the event). We will finalize the details of the event and prepare for the upcoming date. 3. Have a fantastic event! I am dedicated to excellence and your satisfaction. I will do everything I can to make your experience delightful for you and your guests. I am happy to make adjustments—even during the event, if possible.
