Over the past ten years, my wife, Anita, and I have dealt with five personal trainers—all of them highly qualified. We would recommend all of them to anyone who wants help from a professional to get back into or stay in shape. But Dr. Hannah Caldas is, hands down, the best trainer we have ever encountered. Not only is she a highly accomplished athlete but she is also a trained neuroscientist with two life changing patents under her belt. She is also the best person that we have ever encountered who knows how to work with older people to build strength, endurance, flexibility, and better breathing. For breathing, she uses techniques from postural restoration, a unique type of physical therapy that addresses the body's postural position and the potential muscular imbalances which lead to pain. Through this process, Dr. Caldas, homes in on the relationship of various parts of Anita’s body to the diaphragm and rib cage. This is an important aspect of the sessions as Anita is 87 years old and has COPD. Her doctors have marveled at the degree of muscle mass improvement in areas around her rib cage (and in her arms) and how all of this has improved her breathing. For walking and strength, Dr. Caldas uses kinesis therapy. Anita suffered from major yoga and walking related injuries. Dr. Caldas’s work with respect to walking and strength building has gone a long way toward helping her walk, finally, without her walker or a cane! There is also the traditional, or classical, strength building (i.e., weightlifting) approaches that Anita’s sessions take, which are helping to retrain her movement patterns and mechanics. Finally, I should say that there is (so far) no such thing as a medical question or a workout question that Dr. Hannah Caldas (a) can’t answer and/or (b) has not encountered and solved. She’s truly amazing. Her sessions are worth every penny.

Dr. Hannah was professional and knowledgeable. She remained focused on the exercises and knew how hard to push. She was very knowledgeable regarding mother’s post pregnancy. Will definitely use again.

Hannah is an experienced trainer and certainly knows what she is doing. She worked with me one on one and knew exactly where my weak points were and was able to guide me from there. I could feel and see my improvement and progress as the weeks went by and it was exactly the kind of workout I needed post partum.

Hannah is a very talented trainer, I have been working with her to resolve my postpartum abdominal issues and I’m already seeing results after only a couple sessions! I can’t recommend her enough. She is knowledgeable, motivating and keeps me accountable.

Hannah has helped me train (tremendously) for 6 months, working through pain issues in my hip; I am now pain free! Her professionalism and calm motivation have guided me toward improved, overall strength. I plan to continue with her personal training regimen and overall wellness coaching. The investment is well worth the effort!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

List pricing will be provided on request. Discounts are available for long term commitment, as well as packaging multiple services. Occasionally I will run special promotions. Always available discount for active military, first responders, as well as students.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

After initial contact is made, I like to follow up with a consultation call (remote as well as in person clients) in order to better understand lifestyle, current routines and goals. An individual program is then prepared taking all factors in consideration. I typically do not provide unsupervised training programs. All training will be done either in person, or remotely via videoconference for the duration of the chosen session, just like a regular personal training session.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

In addition to bachelors and doctorate degrees, I have over 10 years experience as a professional. I can also draw from personal experience having been a professional swimmer as well as CrossFit athlete.
