FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Please contact me for more information about pricing. Each project is different depending on the scale, location, complexity, etc.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I typically start by having the homeowner fill out a new client questionnaire so that I can learn a bit more about the project and make sure that we are a good fit for each other. You can find this questionnaire on my website or I can provide it to you. Sometimes it is beneficial to visit the home to get a better understanding of the scope. Once we have agreed to move forward, I put together a contract that breaks down the pricing and responsibilities of each party. After the contract is agreed upon, we will move forward with the design, drafting, etc.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my Bachelor of Science in Architecture and my Masters in Architecture from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, Massachusetts. I am currently pursing my architect license and have completed 2 out of 7 exams (woohoo!) to become a licensed architect in California. In the meantime, I am required to refer to myself as a designer. I also have my LEED Green Associate accreditation/credentials. LEED is the #1 recognized green building rating system in the world. Created by the US Green Building Council (USGBC), the LEED Green Associate is the first of two tiers of professional green building accreditation.
