- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in the construction business doing tile setting. I’ve taken building inspecting classes at Cosumnes River College. I graduated from Inspection Training Associates in 2020
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started over 24 years ago. I had a home inspection done myself. I followed the inspector around while he did the inspection and learned a lot. I really was interested in what he was doing and realize that this could be work in different locations with different people and have a nice change in my life every day.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
On this inspection, I found a widowed lady living alone, who didn’t have any smoke detectors or carbon monoxide detectors. She knew that she needed smoke detectors, but not CO2 detectors. I told her where to put them and why. It is very rewarding to think that you may have saved a life.
