I would recommend One Design without hesitation. Allison was able to marry the style and age of my home with my personal design preferences to great effect. She managed to modernize the feel of my spaces while working with the 100-year old Craftsman architecture. Thanks to Allison, I was able to transform an underutilized guest room into a fabulous home office and guest room without sacrificing design and functionality. Allison was able to transform the vague ideas I had in my head into a cohesive style and was able to turn my specific needs (for example, my home office requirements) into a highly-functional design. Allison is very responsive, which was critical in moving the growing list of projects in mind forward. She is also able to quickly pivot to alternatives when roadblocks, like supply chain issues and unexpected infrastructure challenges, come up. Allison has done a few projects for me. A full bathroom remodel and 2 Airbnbs. She kept with in my budget and really listened to what I liked. She created a few visual boards for me to see what she was thinking for each room, which was very helpful for me. Everything looked beautiful and turned out exactly what we wanted. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is based on an hourly rate for most projects. For remodels or larger scope projects, I provide a design fee proposal tailored to the specific needs of the project. I require a retainer and a signed contract before commencing any work beyond an initial consultation.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, I schedule an in-person meeting to review their space and project. Following our meeting, I create a detailed contract outlining the project scope. I begin by drafting floor plans and elevation sketches, followed by creating visual boards for client’s approval. From there, I handle purchasing and installing the selected products to bring our collaborated vision to life.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in Marketing and a certification in Interior Design. My father also taught me his tricks and tips growing up (invaluable) and later working together as interior designers.
