I love making photographs of people, in real time, as it happens. I've dedicated the last 30 years producing/directing award-winning, best-selling videos and making portraits that capture the beauty of life, work, family, community and the practice of yoga. I welcome the opportunity to talk with you about your future photography project and explore how we can work together to make that happen. I work with natural light, strobe and continuous flow lighting. My camera, lights and digital processing tools are state of the art. Steve has the wisdom to bring out the essence of people in his photos. He also has a wonderful eye for the right natural lighting and chooses landscapes and backgrounds which bring out the magic in any place. He’s delightful to work with and his photos look like they belong on magazine covers, over and over. I highly recommended 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

I can't say enough about how magical and privileged it was to work with Steve Adams. We had the great honor of having him capture one of our transformational retreats- and he did just that. Somehow Steve managed to capture something that can't be defined thru words or pixels - and yet he did it. We are forever grateful for these photographs that will always transcend time. His "eye" for what's real , raw, and beautiful is beyond rare. If you really want to preserve a precious moment in your life, I highly recommend Steve's photography . Thank you will never be enough.

I usually really don’t like having photo shoots. It can be anxiety producing and exhaustive. However, working with Steve was so fun and everything felt very smooth and easy. He made me feel so at ease in front of the camera and his artful work with details and light are unparalleled. I would 1000% recommend him to anyone needing professional or personal photos. Truly from start to delivery, a lovely experience.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Minimum charge $150 (special rate)
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Generally, if time and accessibility prevails, I offer to meet with a "new customer" at a local coffee house, Starbucks for a face-to-face introduction and to confer with them on the details of the job. If that's not available, I recommend scheduling a FaceTime conference to review the assignment, event strategy and to be available to answer their questions. For some new customers, it makes absolutely no difference whatsoever to confer with me face to face in advance. Portrait and event photography is very much a relationship business and I don't approach my engagements with my clients as one and done.
