FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Free: initial 30 mins call/ video call for you to get to know me and the services I offer and share your needs. This is to assess if your project is a good fit or I could refer you to to other professionals. Onsite consult: $125/h. I'll come onsite, discuss your goals more in depth and provide you with a series of recommendations or a basic plan and provide you with additional educational material. We will also discuss if I can help you with installation (for example planting a california native garden, building smaller raised beds or movable planters, planting vegetables and herbs, project managing ordering of supplies, delivering and planting plants). The fee is waived if you hire me to install your project. Full-blown plan: cost depends on scope of the project. For a vegetable garden, the plan could include a planting plan with a map of plants placement, choice of plants and varieties, a seasonal plan for when to planta, irrigate and fertilize, what soil to use and a maintenance plan. For a rain water harvest project, the plan could, for example, include educational materials on Rain gardens and how to install them with instructions for your contractor, plant list and placement map, supplies and costs. Gardening coaching: $100/h. Once you have your garden installed, I can come onsite and coach you on how to plant or replant, how to prune and maintain, how to irrigate and fertilize. I offer discounts for packages of several coaching sessions. Garden maintenance: $70/h. I'll come onsite and do weeding, pruning, replanting, soil amendment, and general maintenance of your garden. Project management: $70/h. I can help you with ordering supplies and schedule deliveries, come to your place and wait for materials to be delivered and placed onsite, or help project manage existing crews you might have hired.
