- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
As a new student, you will begin with a FREE 30-minute consultation where we establish long-term goals get to know each other's backgrounds. Once you get started, lessons will be scheduled weekly at a time slot reserved just for you!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
An alum of the University of Redlands, Sakari Dixon Vanderveer has studied violin and viola with Mark Braunstein and Kira Blumberg. In addition, she has been mentored as a composer by Anthony Suter, Reena Esmail, Saad Haddad, Gabriela Lena Frank, and Derrick Skye. Since Sakari began teaching in 2011, her students have auditioned successfully for ensembles such as the SBCMEA County Honor Orchestras, the SCSBOA All-Southern Honor Orchestras, and the Redlands Youth Symphony. In addition to teaching and composing, Sakari performs in the Greater Los Angeles area as a violist with ensembles such as the Redlands Symphony Orchestra and the San Bernardino Symphony.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Lessons are available for -Violin -Viola -Music Composition to students ages 4 and up. Are you nervous about being a beginner? No worries - I absolutely love to help students get started! If you're an intermediate student who is feeling a bit stuck, we'll figure out a gameplan to get you to the next level, too!
