FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My price includes: - My time to get to the location. -My shooting time and editing time. -Thumbtack fee and travel expense. -X number of edited photos. -Digital download from your own gallery on my site. - X hours of the shoot. For weddings, I offer some different package pricing and those include a complimentary engagement shoot, some high-quality prints, and a beautiful hard book style USB case. When I send my quote, I include everything in my price and there are no hidden costs at all.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Exploring my client's needs is a must and I always set up a day/time to have a short phone meeting to get details about their shoot. This phone chat is important not only because I will get details about your shoot but also it works very well to break the ice. Some customers have never hired a pro online and it's new to them. So my job is to make them feel comfortable working with me and that I'm a REAL person. Once you decided to hire me, I will ask you to indicate that they hired me on your end at Thumbtack. Some people don't know how to do it and in that case, I can do it on my end. I will always make a contract for all shoots and for wedding shoots and Quinceanera, I usually meet my customer at my favorite meeting spot, Starbucks but Corvid-19 has changed the way I do my business,so instead of meeting my customer, I will make the contract, take a picture with my phone and send it to their email address. If you agree to the contract, then you will sign the last page, take a picture and send it to me. The contract explains what you will get from my services and some legal matters. Then you will pay me a retainer to secure my time for their shoot.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started out working with a pro for a short period of time and I learned some basics. After he retired,I'm a self-taught photographer. Watch-and-learn is my style and I've watched many professional training videos and I applied the techniques and knowledge for my photography. It's a trial and error but I found my style. I also worked as a second wedding photographer a few times before I started doing my wedding photography business.
