I’ve been blessed to be a professional photographer for 19 years. My degree is in journalism with an emphasis in photography. Shooting weddings, families, seniors, portraits and more, I love it all! I’ve photographed weddings in New Zealand, Ireland, Switzerland and Mexico. I love getting to know my clients and what matters most to them. I feel like it is important to know who I am serving so that I can capture their day or portraits in the most beautiful way possible.

Kristin did an amazing job with our wedding photos! My now husband and I are super awkward when it comes to taking posed photos but she made us feel comfortable and had us laughing and genuinely smiling in our photos, which is something I was really hoping for. She dealt with all of the different personalities of our wedding party and guests so well. We sent a list of all of the moments and groupings we wanted her to capture, which was really long given the short time you have during a wedding, but she checked all of the boxes and then some. I cannot recommend Smetona Photography enough.

Kristin herself is a gift and her talent as a photographer is more than evident! We saw her pics from several different friends' weddings so we hired her for ours and we're so glad we did. We and our extended family loved the wedding photos so much, we had Kristin do our next set of family photos as well! She makes you feel at ease and works with the family dynamics (young ones, old ones, difficult combos, autism challenges, goofballs, perpetual frowners, etc) so you can have the best photos possible!
