Introduction
I will provide background jazz piano music for any kind of event or occasion. I mostly play jazz standards, but I have flexibility to play other styles or specific covers upon request. I am also available to put together a small jazz combo or trio, if that's what you are looking for.
I have been playing piano for over 30 years. I have a variety of experience as a professional musician, from teaching to playing gigs at restaurants, bars, and private events.

Gabe taught our 7 year old piano through weekly lessons held at our home for about a year. Our son had not had any exposure to piano and I'd say he developed a solid knowledge base through Gabe's teaching. The only reason we discontinued lessons was because Gabe was moving from San Francisco to Oakland. Gabe was always a good communicator, very punctual and very patient with our son who sometimes would have rather goofed around than practice piano. I'd definitely recommend Gabe to other families looking for music lessons.

Gabe was an awesome piano teacher. He was clearly very knowledgeable but more importantly had a down to earth teaching style that made it fun to learn. Gabe was happy to teach me theory, jam on the 12 bar blues with me, or help me figure out my favorite reggae songs. He taught me to read music and sat with me while I worked through jazz pieces. I would highly recommend Gabe to anyone who is interested in learning music at any level.

Gabe is an incredibly talented musician. I've been taking guitar lessons from him for the last 6 months and he inspires me to practice (which is not an easy task!) and he drives me to improve. I had taken a very long break in playing guitar and Gabe has been instrumental in getting me back in the game. He's very clear with his instruction and has been incorporating music theory in with helping me learn songs. I'd recommend Gabe to anyone who is in need of a smart, talented and thoughtful instructor.
