FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I used to think there had to be a winner and a loser in any negotiation but I've since come to believe that the best deals are one's in which both parties feel like they're getting a good deal. That's my ideal. I want to provide quality work at fair prices.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I've done a couple of jobs without seeing them first and it's never worked well. Every customer has different expectations and constraints so I like to meet, see the job and understand what the customer is trying to achieve. I then like to give them as many options as possible and let them choose the option that fits them best.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I learned my trades under master craftsmen in New England. It was an old-fashioned apprenticeship where I started with menial tasks until I proved myself. I suppose it was all OJT (on the job training) for me.
