Introduction
Working with dogs has always been a passion of mine. I always admired the magic I saw in my dad training dogs growing up. This prompted my move to Los Angeles in hopes to learn more about them!
During my time in LA, I was fortunate to start working with great trainers. I learned so much about different dogs, and different training styles. I specialize in dog reactivity, basic/advanced obedience- applied with a balanced training approach.
Now back in the Bay Area, I am excited to help dog owners get through any issues they may be seeing with their dog!

We contacted Barak for a one-on-one evaluation and agreed to put our dog in his board and train program. Our dog was highly anxious and reactive. He would growl at strangers and was afraid of almost everything--loud noises, cars, busy streets, being alone in a room, etc. Before choosing Barak's training program, we tried other methods, but they were unsuccessful for our highly anxious dog.
Barak's board/train program worked for us, and it provided the best results! He taught our dog structure, useful commands, and gave us the tools we needed to better advocate for our dog. Our dog is now obedient and confident in situations he use to run away from. We can't thank him enough for the positive changes he made with Ollie! After completion of the program, Barak also offers FREE weekly group training classes which was a huge bonus for us to keep up with his training! Truly recommend Barak for any dog training needs; you won't be disappointed.

Barak is an amazing trainer. After just a month, my dog has made so much progress.
I have an 8 month old Rottweiler and his behavior was destructive and his obedience wasn’t very good. I reached out to Barak and he explained to me exactly what was going on with my dog and he reassured me that my dog was not aggressive, just stressed.
He’s taught me how to communicate with my dog and how to efficiently correct him.
Everytime I take my dog out on his walks I feel much more confident that we can calmly handle any situation.

We recently began working with a wonderful dog trainer/walker who's made a significant difference for our newly adopted dog, who arrived with severe separation anxiety and an endless supply of energy. After just a few training sessions, he suggested crate training and a barking collar, which have been game-changers for us. Not only is he incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about what he does, but he also has a way with dogs. Our dog absolutely loves him and is always excited to see him, which speaks volumes. His training sessions, coupled with his spot-on recommendations, have helped our dog become more settled and us to better manage her energy and anxiety. We're truly grateful for his help and look forward to continuing our work with him. Highly recommend to anyone looking for guidance and support with their furry family members!

Barak training techniques are clear and very easy to follow. He has the ability to see the behaviors of your dog and how the owner/handler needs to train so there becomes the best relationship between dog and owner. He loves dogs and is dedicated to the best results between dogs and owners. Barak will video, you and your dog so you can see what the task is supposed to look like. You can text him ANYTIME ( off the clock) with questions and he gets back with your answers in a very timely manner. I've had many dogs and have always trained them and Barak is one of the best trainers I've had.

Our family adopted a 5-mo old Dobsky from shelter in late April. We are first time dog owners; we fell in love with the puppy and did not think of asking if it had any house or obedience training (it did not), nor were we bothered by the fact that it was once adopted but returned to shelter. The first couple days were so overwhelming that I scrambled to find a dog trainer on Yelp. The first dog trainer I interviewed gave a really negative evaluation and went as far as to suggest that we may want to get a different dog (looking back the dog was so new to us he probably was just scared; plus we had little idea how to handle him further increasing his insecurities). A few days later Barak evaluated the dog and reassured me that our puppy is intelligent, hardworking, and highly trainable. I was impressed by his knowledge, confidence and the gentle yet firm way he interacted with our puppy. And our puppy is in awe with him - it was amazing to see. Since then we've worked with Barak on weekly private lessons, board and train for E-collar (we planned to move to Lake Tahoe in summer and Barak suggested Ecollar is important for off-leash recall), as well as occasional group lessons. We are so happy with and grateful for Barak's guidance. We now have a well-trained and well-adjusted pup even though he has only been with us for 5 months, and thanks to the Ecollar, he is thriving in Tahoe exploring miles of woods on his daily walk. I have since given Barak's contact to a friend and a neighbor who asked for dog trainer referrals, and told them Barak is the ultimate dog whisperer in my experience.
