I found Marpawws on the Thumbtack app last Fri and after reading all the positive reviews, I sent my message and Mariam responded immediately! During our initial correspondence via text she already made me feel super comfortable with asking her anything; and the questions she asked me to get to know my baby girl were important ones such as what her behavior around other dogs was like. This let me know that she is careful to ensure the safety of each pet that boards with her. We set up a meet and greet for this week which was on Thurs and it went extremely well! My baby is very leash aggressive, temperamental and reactive when it comes to strangers and other dogs but when we approached Mariam and her partner Jason with their pup in their front yard, my little mean girl was so calm and friendly I couldn't believe it! She took to them both and their dog really well walking into their home with such confidence and comfort as if it was our home. The environment is super welcoming, clean and inviting with the backyard being perfect for playtime. I never got a sense of overcrowding especially since they don't board more than 5 dogs at a time. I already felt like we were a good fit for them, but I wanted to do a trial run by leaving my baby with them before leaving her next month for the first time for 2 weeks. They were so flexible and accommodating that they agreed to have me leave her yesterday morning and I picked her up this evening. Not once did Mariam make me feel like I couldn't text her to check up on my girl. She even initiated some of the texts sending me pics and vids, which made me extremely happy because I can tell that Soca felt comfortable to the point where she was even on her bed! This very personal approach to pet boarding is something I have been looking for and I'm so happy that I found them. They are an amazing couple who truly showed love, affection and attention to my nervous nelly/separation anxiety-prone girl. Her honesty and concern today with letting me know that my girl hadn't eaten her breakfast was confirmation that she really cared for her, but that she wanted to know what she can do. She did what I suggested and it worked. When I picked her up she looked happy and wasn't aggressive or lunging at their neighbors and her dog who stopped to chat. I was like who is this dog and where did they hide mine? Lol. She didn't even want to leave which speaks volumes to their care. I would 1,000% recommend marpawws to anyone in need of a pet sitter/boarder. They are a God send!

I wish the app would’ve let me choose all 5 for them. Mariam and Jason are amazing and a life saver! They were the deciding factor if I was gonna be able to get a dog again with my crazy work schedule. Mariam would follow up with me checking on the status of my new dog and making sure that I knew for sure he would be in great hands. Last night was his first night there. They bathe him, sent photos and keep updated me until he went to sleep. Jason, texted this morning after feeding him letting me know how well he did an all. These guys are the best!!!!!

Mariam watched my two pups and they had the best time! We got photo updates and texts, it felt like they were with us on our trip. I can’t recommend Marpawws enough. I think my dogs want us to go away again so they can be with their new favorite people.

I am happy to have found these wonderful people. They are obviously dog lovers and very responsible. My dogs stayed 4 1/2 days and were quite happy playing with the other dogs. I appreciate the daily walks and the great communication. Recommend!

Pricing is discussed during meet and greet. We usually have discounts and packages available throughout the year. Please make sure to ask, we like working with our clients!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A new customer is always welcomed with open arms, our first step is to schedule a meet and greet, and complete email (paperwork). Its a fairly simple process, we just want to meet you and the pup to see if it will be a good fit.
