We hired Sybex for photography and a photo booth at a family event. We liked the fact that they provided both of these services and they gave us a bundle price. They also happened to photograph a friend’s wedding and were given a good reference. The photo booth was good and met our expectations. They provided many props for people to wear and give us digital copies of all photos from the booth.
The photography was a different story however. We thought we were hiring one photographer but on the day of the event another photographer came with no explanation. The photographer kept getting lost on the way which stressed us out. Other reviews also mention issues with the photographer not finding their location.
They took many photos but the quality was average. They made some amateur mistakes such as including objects in the background which we could have easily moved out of the way if they had paid more attention to detail.
When I asked the company about the change in photographers I was told "we have multiple photographers working under our company name”. I found this practice misleading since they could have easily mentioned this to us but didn’t. I expected to know who the actual photographer is ahead of time and not get an unknown person show up. I recommend you ask who the photographer will be.
I would hire Sybex again for the photo booth however I will look elsewhere for photography.

I wish I could rate him 200 stars!! Such an attentive photographer! He even came early and helped my husband set up the venue!! He was so sweet and we will absolutely be hiring him for further events!!

Finding Kelyn was a blessing! Kelyn approach to making everyone feel comfortable and being engaged with a sense of self awareness allowed her to capture some truly beautiful candid moments. She is receptive, respectful and takes care to ensure the essence of the event is captured. Having Kelyn capture the moments of our family event, allowed us to be in the moment and enjoy the event as it was happening. As fully expected we have great family pictures to remember our special family day! We will be hiring Kelyn for future events and an extended family photo shoot! Thank you Kelyn for capturing all the special moments during my parents 50th wedding celebration!

Chris was a pleasure to work with and the end result was exactly what I wanted and asked for. He captures every moment and even the littlest detail of my daughter's bday party. He also has a very good editing skills and the cute photoshop addition on my daughter's photos turned out great. I also appreciate him arriving before the party and asking me if I have any request or how I wanted pictures to be taken:) I would consider hiring him again for my next event.

Unfortunately we didn't have the great experience that so many others had, but after digging a bit deeper I found the poor reviews and wish I would've dug deeper prior to hiring David. We went through RF Creates to have videography, photography and a DJ.
First and foremost, we should start with professionalism. When you hire someone to work a formal event like a wedding, I assumed they would attend in formal or semi formal wear. Even black jeans and a nice shirt would suffice... David attended in sweat pants, a black shirt and a hat. Disappointing but not the biggest issue.
Many times through out the night he was off to the side on his phone, when he was asked to capture key moments he said he will after he uses the bathroom and eats.
On top of paying him for his services and time we also paid for him as a guest at our wedding so he would be able to enjoy dinner and we respect that he needed a break but he had poor timing and did what was convenient for himself rather than prioritizing the job he was hired to do.
Moving on let's touch up on the 3 jobs we hired for going through David.
Videography...
We did ask for basic footage but with that being said when you hire a Videographer you would expect a person... well that was not the case, we were given a tripod to capture our wedding and reception. A TRIPOD. If we wanted to, we could've set up a tripod and recorded everything ourself instead of paying $400. The tripod was barely moved around and missed many key moments on our special day. One family unknowingly was in front of the tripod the whole night so it was great to see the 4 of them enjoyed the
reception. And let's talk about the Audio, it was awful.
Photography... well this was ok, although again, many key moments were missed. Moments such as my brother giving me away at the altar. How do you miss that, what were you doing in the middle of the ceremony?? We realized our minister did not move during our first kiss as husband and wife so we kissed again at the end of the aisle.. this was not captured via photos or video. Very disappointing.
We also took time during our small reception to take pictures with loved ones, the one photo I have with my family from David is a photo where not all of us are looking and are in the middle of adjusting. These are just a few examples but the biggest issue I have is that prior to sending us the photos David reached out and said "the lighting was bad at the venue" ... so when we got our pictures they were over saturated, I don't think he really tried to edit them properly. So my traditional deep red outfit looks orangey-red in lots of photos. And to finish off this bit, I don't have any photos of my our bridesmaid and groomsmen together with us, and we didn't get the opportunity to take photos as husband and wife. 10 minutes before leaving David approached us and said I'm going to leave so let's take a few photos. We went into the hallway and took 1 pose.
DJ...
So our DJ messed up a bit.
We had to ask multiple times for background music during speeches and transitions, we had to wait for music after we had opened the dance floor and the biggest problem I have is that our DJ played my song to walk down the aisle for the entire bridal party.
Disappointing to say the least, I understand that things happen but the quality of work we received is extremely poor for someone who has been in business for several years.
My suggestion is to take your business elelsewhere for your special occasion. Those moments are special and you want to capture them in a way that's it's not just a memory.
