Hi, nice to meet you! My name is Dima Rumanov. I am a private personal trainer in Mountain View. I specialize in fat loss, muscle and strength gain, and can help improve your mobility. I offer in person training at $130 per hour session that includes help with both your diet and workout program that I customize for your goals. I give specific macronutrient targets and meal recommendations based on your goals and adjust accordingly with how you and your body are responding. Dima is an outstanding personal trainer. I am super lucky to have him as my coach. His knowledge and expertise have been invaluable to my life. 2 years ago, I came to him with muscle imbalances and injuries, he was able to tailor the workouts to my own personal needs and abilities. He also provided me with great support in food tracking and nutrition. I have now competed in several powerlifting competitions and continue to make amazing progress under his great coaching! Dima is an amazing personal trainer! He is very knowledgeable and extremely dedicated. What I liked about training with Dima is the fact that he will adjust the training incorporating your feedback and your specific needs. In a short span of a few months, I have seen incredible increase in strength while losing fat. He has pushed me beyond what I knew I was capable of. Would 100% recommend!

In 2021 I decided to pick up strength training after 10+ years of being an avid marathon runner. At that time I was basically skinny-fat who had never touched a weight before meeting Dima. I found Dima via Thumbtack and started my strength training journey. For the first 2 years I did both the running and weight lifting together and then primarily focused on strength training. With Dima’s coaching and nutrition advice I managed to meet my goal of getting to sub-10% body-fat and a marked increase in muscle mass by the time I turned 50 in 2024. This is something I don’t think I would have been able to do just on my own. For anyone wanting to strength-train (be it a novice like me, or an advanced lifter), I highly recommend Dima as a trainer and a coach.

I have been training with Dima since 2023, so almost closing in on a year and a half now. I had been doing strength training on and off for a decade prior but my gains had long plateaued with a spotty schedule and no tracking of either meals or strength goals. During the course of the last 16 months since I started training with Dima, he has diligently worked with me in tracking my workouts and calories and progressively overloading to beat my previous records multiple times now. With his coaching, I was able to squat 200lbs for 5 reps on my previous record, which was a big milestone for me, starting from ~ 120 lbs. It took me a year during which we worked on my lifting technique, diet, home workouts and discipline. Dima is a thorough professional, a powerlifting champ himself, and no matter where you are in your journey, treats you like one and makes you want to take your training seriously. :) Highly recommend him if you are serious about getting in shape!
