I had the most wonderful time with Lorinda! I was beyond anxious before my photo shoot and I naturally always feel uncomfortable getting my picture taken. As soon as we started talking I felt so relaxed, the way she works and poses you feels SO natural that I totally forgot I was taking pictures. We had an amazing time working with Lorinda for our engagement session! Our pictures turned out absolutely gorgeous. She is super personable and really makes the experience fun; she even let me borrow her boots when I had a major heel disfunction! She is super responsive and was quick to communicate with me and keep me updated on the air quality conditions in the days leading up to our shoot, as I was concerned about how the smoke would affect the pictures. She stayed informed on the conditions for us (we're from outside the area) and we had great air and light for our session! We knew we wanted some shots on the beach and she also picked out some other great nearby spots for us, so we had a really wonderful variety of backgrounds for our pictures. She had me send her our outfits before the session and it was really evident she had planned and visualized a great look and experience for us! Thank you, Lorinda!! :)

Lorinda was wonderful! She did a very thorough intake before, so she knew what we wanted. We had some last minute out of towners visiting us, and she was very flexible with them joining us for the photos. She tried to make a special effort with my toddler, who sort of runs the show (if you have a 3 year old, you know this is true!) and because of that, she got some amazing pictures of him. We will use her again!

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got started in photography as a young girl about 12. I was very shy, and loved being behind the camera my aunts were photographers and I was inspired by their work. I bought my first camera and lens and haven’t looked back. I love when someone tells me they are shy or not photogenic. I make it my mission to make them feel beautiful.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Best advice is to hire someone who knows the area, someone who understands light. Also someone with the photography style you prefer. Be careful trusting your priceless memories to someone who is just learning, or a friend of the family with a camera because it’s cheap. I get emails all the time with brides wanting me to redo their wedding images because they were unhappy with what they received.
