Introduction

Shaner & Co. is a co-creative design practice founded by Evan Shaner in Los Angeles, California working across the private and public sectors, with a diverse portfolio that includes cultural, residential, retail, and civic projects. In collaboration with clients, we reconcile ambition with social and physical context to design buildings, spaces, and objects that are both characterized by and cultivate simplicity, beauty, and the atmosphere of place. Our clients are our true collaborators – they are our partners with whom we develop and realize a shared vision. Our pricing is based on project scope, complexity, and deliverables, but we offer transparent, detailed proposals tailored to meet each client’s needs and budget.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with a consultation to understand your vision and project goals, followed by a kick-off meeting to produce target milestone dates and a project timeline. We then work through the traditional architectural design phases with iterative feedback, and eventually produce final documentation for submittal and approval.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a Master’s degree in architecture from the highly competitive SCI-Arc, and have 10+ years of experience working on residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects with leading international firms.
