FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We offer fixed fees on most cases, so you will not be charged by the hour. That way, you know what you will pay and that price won't increase over time. There will be no surprises. * Personal injury cases are typically handled on a contingency fee basis, which means there is no up-front cost to the client, and we do not get paid unless we win.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Everything begins with an initial consultation, which can be either be in-person or by telephone if you prefer. This is the most basic way for a client to explain to me what they are looking for and I can then explain how I can help. In a criminal case, for instance, I will talk to my clients and their families about what to do when someone has been arrested, what their rights are and what to expect in the upcoming court appearances. In a bankruptcy case, I can explain how we can stop wage garnishments and foreclosures and wipe out credit card debt. No matter what your legal issue is, you will receive hands-on representation from me. I encourage clients to communicate directly with me, whether by phone, email, or in person.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Hiring a lawyer for any legal need is a big deal and you should look hard for someone who you trust and are comfortable with. Do not simply accept the lowest bid - make sure your attorney has the experience necessary to get things done. There are many "legal services" online these days that offer ultra cheap fees. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for, and I have had too many clients come to me -- after trying to work with one of these sites -- with a legal disaster on their hands. Some never even met any attorney face-to-face. Your legal rights are too important to neglect, so please hire someone for you or your loved one only after conducting a search of qualified attorneys in the area.
